We bring significant national, statewide, and local expertise in Green Infrastructure/Low Impact Development (LID), sustainability, and aspirational design that considers aesthetics, community values, climate change and resiliency, transportation access improvements, low-water use vegetation, habitat restoration, and long-term maintenance needs. Watearth has recently completed more than a dozen grant-funded projects related to Green Infrastructure, including civil, landscape, and irrigation design; LID and hydrology modeling; maintenance plans; permitting; monitoring design and plans; grant compliance; and interpretive signage. Watearth has worked on large green infrastructure master planning efforts and criteria manuals. We provide construction phase services. Resiliency experience includes erosion control and mitigation design, as well as drought-tolerant plant palette selection.
We staff Envision Sustainability, LEED, and permaculture-certified professionals. Watearth’s local, statewide, and national experience in sustainable and resilient Landscape Architecture, Green Infrastructure, and civil and environmental engineering from planning and analysis through design and construction creates tangible solutions that protect infrastructure, environment and investment and improve quality of life.
Watearth’s staff provide comprehensive experience, having successfully integrated landscape architecture sustainability into our approach to stormwater management. Watearth has related hands-on experience customizing water conservation methods, specifically as they relate to irrigation and landscape design, performing irrigation station programming, scheduling, and managing controllers, as well as regularly performing water use calculations for landscape planting plans and performing water conservation reduction evaluations. Watearth provides botany and plant identification.
